Tempted to switch back to Linux
Content creators in the tech are making the switch to Linux. DHH doubling down on the Linux hype made opinionated setups for Arch and Ubuntu, PewDiePie switched to Linux, Primeagen switching to Arch.
These stunts make me my setting up of Ubuntu when I was using a Dell laptop via dual boot in 2021. I'm now using a second Macbook Pro 13 2020 (Intel), which I got in 2023, thanks to my brother's connections.
The barrier to learning (and setting up) Linux is becoming smaller and smaller, and the community is becoming more encouraging. The type of community I never knew I needed back then, has finally arrived. I'm happy to witness it. And it's very tempting to jump back right into Linux.
But despite the temptation, I'm not making the switch back. At least not anytime soon. I believe have enough for what I need to do, which is simply learning how to program and building small to medium projects.
