Updated from my apartment in Antipolo, where it’s cold in the mornings and evenings, scorching hot by noon.

Recovering from my injuries

I crashed my motorcycle last Mar 1, nobody else was hurt. Thank God!

I was on my way home going up to Antipolo when suddenly my front wheel lost control. I survived with minor injuries. No fractures. No concussions, although I fainted (once or twice) at the crash site.

Big thanks to my wife, LSE, and Neil for helping me out. Neil brought my motorcycle to their home and to our apartment the following day.

I’m lucky to be alive.

Getting back on programming

I’m taking advantage of my time of recovery to immerse myself in programming. But this time, I’m shifting my focus from Ruby to Python. The latter might be useful as it’s upwind to AI and healthcare tech.

Considering teaching

I have thought of teaching in universities for the next generations of optometrists. A number of interns and clinical instructors encouraged me to teach.

Not because I have (yet) a talent for teaching, but because there’s a scarce supply of professors in universities nationwide.

Domain Transfer

Last year, I purchased my domain michaelroxas.com through NameCheap. I renewed the use of the domain name with PorkBun, it’s cheaper there (how ironic).
