What I'm doing NOW

Updated 4 days, 3 hours ago — from my apartment in Antipolo, where it's cold in the mornings and evenings, scorching hot by noon.

Working in an optical retail.

I’m still working at my retail company as an optometrist. I make sure that the reports are up to date, educate customers on their eye care and our company warranties and terms—so that they could continue to take care of their eyes and their eyewear.

Sleeping sound(less)ly

Ever since I got my CPAP, I felt more energetic in the mornings. Keeping that AHI close to 5.0 as much as I can by monitoring the stats through the app. Sometimes, it’s higher because of a cold or I slept way too late (for whatever reason).

I tend to remove it in the middle of the night, only to put it back on when I wake up.

Building a small web app

I am experimenting on a different approach to learning programming (with AI). I don’t want to tie myself to a single programming language anymore (Ahem, Ruby). Although I like Ruby a lot, I understand that I don’t have to use it all the time.

I’m working on a simple side-project that helps in Examinaning the Conscience. The idea is to have a checklist of “sins committed” since your last confession. It’s serverless, so it shouldn’t take too much resources. We wouldn’t want to “save” those sins on any device and let it be known to someone else, no? A feature I wanted it to have is for it to be available in different Filipino dialects such as Tagalog and Bisaya. English will still be included (my preference).

I should be able to finish (and launch) it just before Lent starts next month.

Crashed the CSS of this blog

I know I have a backup file of my previous theme somewhere. I just had named it with something else. 😬 Since I've crashed it to the point of no return, I'm just reverting to the defaults and use Birming's Bear Hug theme. Looks like I'm going to have to pay some dues.
